What makes a person liberal or conservative? How do individual differences and motivations lead to political differences? What are the outcomes and consequences of these political differences?

The Dispositions, Goals, & Ideology (DiGI) Lab aims to provide answers to these questions by adopting a personality and individual differences approach to better understand the antecedents and consequences of political ideology.

The DiGI Lab is based in the Department of Psychological Sciences at The College of William & Mary, and is directed by Dr. Xiaowen Xu.
